Lydney vs Barnstaple Motm

The first team were on the wrong end of a 18-10 scoreline against a high flying Barnstaple team.

Again, due to a ridiculously long injury list, it was a much changed team that took to the field with many players playing out of position and even forwards playing in the backs!!

The boys showed great spirit and put up an unbelievable defensive dispaly in the first 40 and were unlucky not to go in ahead at the break! Unfortunately, the second half didn’t go to plan and this resulted in our first home defeat of the season. The boys deserved something from the game and finishing up without even a point to show for all the effort was a tough pill to swallow

There were some really strong performances including Jack Knox at 12!

Reilly Scriven was immense all day – both with and without the ball! Reilly is pictured below collecting the player of the match award from today’s match day sponsor Pete Watkins owner of PSW Metals.
