Lydney RFC Director of Rugby Sam Arnott has announced the 1st XV Captain for the 2023-24 Season.
Ben Large will Captain the Severnsiders for our 2024 – 25 Season.
”It’s a huge ask to come into any new club and captain the side from day one, you have to have a certain character, which we know Ben certainly has!
He had an excellent first half to the season, until his unfortunate injury.
He certainly left a huge void. We will certainly benefit from having him back available for the start of the new campaign.”

Lydney United Head Coach John Barker has announced the United captain for the 2024-25 season.
Josh Haddock will continue in his role for the up coming season after leading the team to promotion back to level 8.

”Josh Haddock will lead us again this year after his success last season. We need to carry on the positive momentum into Counties 2 South which will be far harder. This year’s campaign is all about setting out our expectations early, building on our squad and solidifying our position within the league. We have such strong talent coming through and I know they relish the challenge.”
