Severnsiders Clubman of the Year Award
At the Severnsiders opening game yesterday Club President Joe Betty presented the clubman of the Year award to Roger Pike. Joe commented ‘very pleased to present the award to Roger who continues to do a huge amount of voluntary work behind the scenes at the Club. Whilst many of you will see him running the Club shop, taking pictures and writing reports on match days he does much unseen work behind the scenes and has been responsible for many of the Grants the club has received in recent years’
Roger Pike added’ I am honoured to be awarded this famous trophy; I am just one of many volunteers behind the scenes that every Club needs to survive. I always strive to do my best for the Club and community, the grant applications in particular give me most pleasure as you can see tangible results around the Club where the money has been spent to make improvements. I also enjoy designing the match shirts each season as always a challenge to make them slightly different but keep our famous black and white hoops. Drive on Lyd#.’
